they flocked to him like he was white jesus it was cray. there were playing the Bee Gee’s Staying Alive as he marched down eglington from Oakwood down to the stage. The people’s champ apparently they feel is da Boss man…
He also busted a move as opposed to singin some Bob Marley.
Quincy Jones was in town for Canadian Music Week where he was interviewed and answered questions from the audience. I was lucky to be in attendance. He dropped some great anti-black racism gems for this predominantly white audience. I was impressed. Here’s all the footage. I wasn’t exactly in the best spot so I apologies in advance for the heads that got in the way.
As alway’s it’s a pleasure and a gift to be in the presence of this magnificent man Ernie Paniccioli. I got to witness him speak in Toronto last week about his photography, hip hop, history and basically just dropping gems all over the place. As always I recorded it so here’s the whole interview in 14 parts. Enjoy.
Last weekend Justin Bua was in town to chill at Redbull headquarters to sell some artwork. He brought his buddy Russell Peter’s along to dj the festivities. The party was off the chain. Russell thru down some dope tunes and of course Justin was awesome. Smiling and signing art for people. I know a few people who got some goodies. Maestro Fresh Wes and Jonathon Mannion were also up in the spot.
here’s some pics and video from the event.
This weekend Mia kicked off CMW with a free performance at Tattoo rock parlour. As always nuff high energy was in the place. A great stage carnival light set up and her dancers. Mia brought the noise. Minus some technical difficulties ( she had to tell the soundboy about himself) the show was spectacular. Here’s some footage
Bun B rolled thru on Sunday an brought out Drizzy at the end. The OG from Houston got the crowd amped. RIP Pimp C #ugkforlife
